What decides one of these is electrical supply, access route and weight when filled — measured before the order, not after it.

What decides the fit

Electrical supply
A dedicated 50A or 60A 240V circuit on a GFCI disconnect within sight of the tub is the arrangement most full-size tubs are built around. Confirm the disconnect location with your electrician - it is the part people forget.
Access route
Over about 42 inches of clear width, with room to turn, is a comfortable walk-in. Crane delivery over a roof is the alternative when there is no route at all, and it is a separate booking with its own cost.
Weight when filled
Under about 3,000 lb filled is the range of a compact tub. On grade, a level four-inch reinforced pad handles it without thought.

Worth knowing before you order

Why pad

Because a filled hot tub is heavier than anything else people put in a garden without thinking about it. Water alone is around eight pounds a gallon before you add the shell, the cabinet and the people, and it all has to be carried evenly — a shell supported unevenly will flex and eventually crack, and no warranty covers that. A properly compacted gravel bed, a concrete pad or a deck engineered for the filled weight all work. What does not work is paving slabs on soil, which settle unevenly, or a deck built to ordinary residential loading.

Electrical

Two broad classes. Plug-and-play tubs run on an ordinary household circuit, which makes them simple to install but slow to heat and limited in what the jets and heater can do at once. Most full-size tubs are hard-wired on a dedicated higher-voltage circuit, run by an electrician, with GFCI protection and a disconnect placed within sight of the tub but a required distance from it. The electrical work is usually the longest lead item in the whole install, so start it before the tub arrives rather than after.

Delivery access

A hot tub arrives as one rigid object, usually on its side on a dolly, and it does not come apart. That makes the access route the first thing to survey, not the last: gate width, the tightest turn, overhead branches and wires, steps and slope. Where the route will not take it, the answer is a crane over the house or the fence, which is a normal and bookable thing but needs planning and space for the truck. Working this out on delivery day is how a tub ends up back on the truck.

A presentation set. Venerabull is in its first phase and is signing its first manufacturers — the models on this page are our own, shown so a maker can see the page their line would get. As lines are signed their real products and photography replace these, and anything that was never inventory comes down.
